Yea for sleeping!

Baby Drew has been pretty much sleeping through the night for the past 3 nights. Hooray! To me, anything past 5am is "sleeping through the night". The first night, he went down at about 9:30 and woke up at about 5. The next night, he went down about 9:45 or 10 and slept until 5:30!! That was awesome! Last night he had been asleep from about 7:30 until 9 at which time I woke him up to feed him. I was worried that he would just be wide awake after that, but he was done with his bottle and back asleep by 9:20. He woke up around 4:30 which was a little earlier than I would have liked. I went into his room (I moved him into his room a couple of weeks ago, and he acted like he had been sleeping there the whole time--no transition time!) at about 4:45 with a bottle and he immediately started smiling at me when he saw me. What a great way to start the day at 4:30. When he does wake up in the morning, he will have his bottle and go right back to sleep in his crib, usually until about 7:30 or 8. What a good baby! Trent didn't sleep through the night until he was about 4 or 5 months old, so this is quite a treat. I'm not so naive as to think that he will always sleep through the night from here on out, but it's been wonderful getting at least 6 uninterrupted hours of sleep the past few nights. When he goes back down after he eats, I start coffee for Aaron and then go back to bed for maybe another hour or so, and then get up and have whatever coffee is left. Awesome!

I am trying to get myself in a routine so that I can work in a time to start working out again. I lost some of the baby weight right away after I had Drew, but I am at a standstill now. I have about 20 or 25 pounds to go to get to where I will be happy with my body. I am struggling to find the time and motivation to work out, but I hope to get ahold of my schedule very soon and start a workout schedule. We just reactivated my gym membership, so I guess now that we're paying for it, that should motivate me. It just seems like the housework is never done, so that becomes a higher priority. I'll get into a rhythm soon--I can feel it.

Hey Laura!
Your boys are precious!! That is awesome about Drew's sleeping habits. Hopefully they will continue. I have loved reading about your family of four. So glad that we can reconnect.
Take Care,

Good going Laura - you are a great mom. I have your blog on my desktop and look at it regularly. Always interested in new pictures. Our business is ready to go but our State certification is in slo-mo. Can't wait to get started and make some $$$. I wish we could come down for Thanksgiving - but that is a no-go for now. We will visit and see Drew as soon as we can. Put on calendar for next July, Evan's graduation party. I will be sending you his senior pictures shortly. Lots of Love - Aunt Michele
